How the formula works

Choose a full-term low and high gain from BMI. Under 18.5 uses 28 to 40 lb. From 18.5 up to but not including 25 uses 25 to 35 lb. From 25 up to but not including 30 uses 15 to 25 lb. At 30 and above uses 11 to 20 lb. Multiply both ends by min(1, week/40).
