How the formula works
Convert centimeters to total inches with inches = cm/2.54 and round to the nearest whole inch. Then split: ft = floor(inches/12), and the inches left over are inches − 12 × ft. Rounding first avoids an impossible label: 182.5 cm = 71.85 in, which rounds to 72 in = 6 ft 0 in, not 5 ft 12 in.
